I have had this bonnet for years now and I love it! I use it once or twice a week and it still holds up like it is new! Its had its trips through the washing machine and it is perfectly fine! The ear slots are quite big though, I have a 16.2 hand thoroughbred with slightly larger than average ears and she still has room to spare, but this is a common pattern with all bonnets due to the one size fits all! Highly recommended! If you've used these over the years, you'll likely be nodding when I say that these, too, are too narrow from ear to ear. From 20 years ago, this was been the lament. Fast forward to today: same lament :(I tried mine on 9 different horses of various breeds...too tight on all of them. The ear length, base to tip, will always be a gamble. But to have the ear hole placement (across the pole) be consistently too narrow (for average horses!) is predicable and annoying. This color is spot on for my intended patriotic outfit, but I'm not into torturing my darling beasties. The first one I received had some stitching errors on it, but Amazon quickly replaced it. It is a nice ear net, especially for the price. The ears fit an average Quarter Horse sized ear with no problem, however there is no stretch to the material that makes up the ears. I hand sewed on pink paracord (readily available at Wally, just melt the cut ends) just inside the white cording, and it looks fantastic. With the little bit of customization, this ear net looks high end.It just came in and I love it. The colors are true. The only thing is that there IS NO STRING. Just so everyone knows. This doesn't come with any string. Which is fine with me because I ride both English and Western and my headstall is a one-ear so it doesn't have a throatlatch and that actually works out perfectly for me. So it's a winner! The ears on the bonnet are HUGE. I'm having a friend actually adjust them for me so it doesn't look like my horse has a dunces cap on haha. The quality of the bonnet itself is quite good though.I love this fly veil! It's perfect, not itchy which is wonderful, and fits perfectly!! I could not believe how well made this veil was considering how low the price was. The color is the same in the picture, and looks just as shown. I did purchase the silver one too, and I felt it fit a bit different but still works. Love them!Love it!! Just came in the mail today . Haven't used it yet but the coloring is exactly the same!! My only consern is how big the knit holes are .Nice quality and attractive. Have not used on the horse yet and I am wondering how well it will stay on with no tie strings to attach to bridle. Those could be added fairly easily with sewing so this should be good!
