This float tube is an incredible value. I have numerous classic accessory float tubes and you will be hard pressed to find a guy who fishes one any harder than I do. I fish from ice out til the water freezes again. I fish in every type of condition from blazing heat to freezing cold, wind, rain. I fish all kinds of bodies of water. Many I fish require hiking in and out of rugged terrain with the float tube either inflated or not on my back. I have fished this in the heaviest of cover from thick vegetation, thick deep mud that requires me to hop across it in my float tube. You cannot kick through the mud it is so thick. Any type of structure and cover you can think of I have float tubed through. I am not afraid to put myself or my float tube in the thickest nastiest stuff on a body of water. That is often times where my best fishing happens.I am primarily a bass angler, but because I live in an area that gets cold winters, I will do some trout, salmon, pickerel, pike ect..fishing as well as it gets very cold and the fishing can get slow. I tend to carry anywhere from 2 to 4 rods with me. 4 rods is a bit much for this thing just using the rod straps. But I deal with them getting tangled up ect..at times because it is what it is. I carry bait binders and other bait cases when I fish. I usually dedicate one storage side to baits and the other to drinks, snacks, hook outs, pliers, fish grips, action cam, deeper sonar, towel if need be. Basically whatever I need I make it fit. I put my pump and hose in a plastic bag and put it on the rear netting of my float tube. It holds it fine and some times I have had to add a little air after getting out on the water. These float tubes are easy to carry, and easy to set up and then break back down. I can't imagine anything that allows you to fish so effectively to be any easier. For me, these float tubes tend to last me one full fishing season before I need a new one. And over that time it usually needs repairs. The pvc cross bar that has the bib attached to it, it is pointed and you always want to set it into the sleeves so it goes in the correct way. Do it incorrectly and you could get a tear in the bladder. take your time with that and do it right and you'll be good. I have had leaks in my bladders before and they are usually slow leaks and I have never had an issue getting off the water. I would suggest to have a spare set though. You'll be glad you did. It sucks to get out on the water and have your planned day of fishing ruined by a leak. Keep a spare with you, go back to the car, replace it and get back on the water. The bladders are very well protected though. The float tube is very rugged and I have hit everything from tree tops to rocks and the float tube just bounces right off them without issue. The quality control for the valves on the bladders is not good from classic accessories. I have had numerous float tubes with valve issues out of the box. I have also had issues with the zippers on the storage pockets. The handles have broke on me and the zippers themselves have broke on me. This has never happened right off though. It tends to happen when I have used the float tube long and hard and it is simply starting to break down under the use.I would have knocked off a star or more because of these issues, but the fact that classic accessory has been so good to me as far as customer service goes, I figure I would put a star or two back because of that. They have always been quick to send me replacement parts if need be, or a new float tube if need be and it has been without hassle. They stand by their products.I have been fishing these float tubes hard for years. I am a big guy at 6ft and can weigh as much as 285. one con is they do not sell replacement foam for the seats for this model. You would have to cut your own to replace them. The seats are not the most comfortable seats on earth, but they could be a lot worse. I have fished morning til night hundreds of times on these and usually I need to pull up and stretch out a bit at some point during the day. But overall I like the seats. They adjust to my liking and they keep you high enough above the water that you can effectively sight fish and fish beds ect..Overall, this float tube is more comfortable than any other ( stock out of the box) float tubes or kayaks I have usedEvery boat has its pros and cons. A kayak can cover water many times faster then this thing can. It is not even close. These things are slow going. And on bigger bodies of water, especially on very windy days, you're going to be kicking a ton. But using your legs allows you to hold your position even in very windy conditions. It is very difficult to hold any type of position in wind with a kayak. I guess it just depends on what you are looking for and what suits your needs best. There are numerous pros and cons for each type of boat.Overall I love my float tube. It is not perfect for all situations of course, but for where I live, the types of bodies of waters I fish, I can get out there and catch the heck out of fish. And its a unique experience fishing from a float tube. You are very connected to your surroundings.A couple more things I have found very helpful. One is, take either some duct tape or even epoxy, and cover the sharp ends of the pvc cross bar. The sharp edges of that cross bar are probably the easiest way to get a puncture in a bladder. Any time you move or adjust those edges tend to rub it dig in. Just use tape or epoxy to dull the edges and you'll never have to worry about that.Second, get yourself some good uv protectant for your boat. The sun beats these down. You can prolong the condition and life of your float tube if you use a quality uv protectant every month or two. Makes all the difference. The Cumberland float tube provides comfortable seating, good sized zippered storage, seating sets you up high so normally only below the knees is in the water. I have owned 2 of these tubes over the last several years and normally go pond fishing just about every weekend with a friend who also uses a Cumberland. The tube is comfortable enough to fish 5 to 6 hours at a stretch.A couple of cons would be the bladders and portability due to poorly designed back pack type straps.I have replaced two bladders and repaired two. Classic Accessories is the only outlet for replacements and seem to have limited availability. A couple of times a year you can find the float tube on sale around $200.This thing gets me back into a lot of hidden water comfortably. In shallow creeks I can just put my feet down and fish from my floating seat, in deeper lakes and rivers I can kick and maintain position well. The only thing I don't like is that the pockets aren't waterproof. You end up netting fish alongside the float and soaking anything in your pockets. I have to get a separate dry bag for my keys and stuff. I also wish the gap in the back of the net behind the seat wasn't there. It makes a great livewell for fish you're keeping, but they can escape out the back if you're not careful.Exactly as advertised! Love this float tube. I'm able to fold it up fit it in my Infiniti G35 COUPE and go to the lake without any problems. ?????It's always in a shape of about a 2 feet cube because of the foam seat & back and the material. It inflates easy and I learned to carry a pump because air will shrink in the cold water and to let air out when on land. My nephew recommended it to me and I'd do the same.Makes for a fun day out fishing. Easy to get into tight spots. I would recommend an anchor as a breeze will cause you to drift easilythis is one of the best float tubes I've owned. I've been using tubes and pontoons for over thirty years, and this is one of the best, my old pontoons frame broke and I didn't feel like fixing it or buying a new on. one of the best things about this tube is, when your my age, is that you can pee out of it, no going to shoreNOT HAPPY!!! I ordered the Cumberland Float Tube for a fishing trip I had coming up. It arrived and I let it sit in my garage for a few days before opening it. The trip was in a couple days so I opened it up to get it ready. GROSS! It smelled bad like mildew and had lake weed still embedded in it. As I unrolled it I noticed that it was STILL WET!!!! Are you kidding me?! The package which I'm assuming had the straps, repair kit, etc. was torn open and all of that stuff was missing. I tried calling Cumberland and got an automated message saying that due to COVID they were not accepting any calls in relation to warranty and to just fill out a warranty issue on line. This is something I needed to talk to somebody about but that wasn't going to happen, so I filled out the online warranty form. They got back to me with an email a few days later that they would send me a replacement cover only (no straps or other accessories that were supposed to come with it) but it's going to take over 2 months to get to me. Just in time for fishing season to be over! Thanks Cumberland/Classic Accessories!!!Would highly recommend I payed night chargers and importe fees but still worth itEverything is fine with this product except for the bladder. While preparing for my second time using it, I noticed that the left bladder had a small but visible hole near a seam (you can hear the air coming out at all times), making it impossible to fully patch with the included "patch stickers". Now the float tube is always slowly releasing air and I'm concerned about taking it out for more than 20 minutes at a time.I purchased the Cumberland Float tube in the late summer months of 2020 for a fishing a two week fishing trip. I was initially very happy with it. It worked very well for the two week trip and for a couple of day trips beyond that before the winter month set in. Fast forward to the summer of 2021 and I finally had an opportunity to take it out again and all was well until about 2 hours into my first use of the year, the left side bladder burst at the seam. I take very good care of my things and I was very disappointed that after the relatively minimal use that I got out of it I was already needing to go out and buy a patch kit to repair damage that was not caused by any kind of misuse on my end. The reviews I had read stated concerns about the poor quality PVC bladders and I would definitely suggest any potential buyers consider this before making a purchase. I never used any air compressor to inflate it, only hand pumps and never over inflated it. I would always be diligent to deflate the bladders once out of the water to avoid expanding air causing too much pressure. For the price of this tube, the bladders could have been of had quality in my opinion. Everything else works very well and my review would had been better if not for the weak link in the chain.I bought this last spring and managed to get out a few times over the summer, and I love it.It inflates quickly and easily, is lightweight, but very sturdy and well-made.I'm about 230lbs and it holds my weight with ease. I am sitting down in the water a bit, but only a bit.It also deflates quickly and easily, and easily folds back up to original shape.Lots of storage for tackle and other gear, even drink holders!I bought a float tube rod holder to go with it, and while the rod holder is a little finicky, it works well enough to hold the rod either for trolling purposes or just to keep it held out of the way while changing rigging, grabbing a snack, etc.I hummed and hawed about this purchase for months before pulling the trigger, and having finally done so, I have no regrets.
