I don't understand all the glowing reviews for this scarf. It's okay, but not something that you'd write home about. I selected the "teal" color, but it's really more like a washed out forest green, which is not my favorite shade. Unfortunately, my camera shifts things towards the blue-er end of the spectrum, so it photographs more teal than it really is. In real life, it's a slightly muted Robin-Hood-in-Sherwood-Forest-green.The shape of the scarf is a little weird. It's narrow, and kind of like a long stretched out "s" in the way that the ends are curved and pointed. This ends up making the scarf look thinner and skinnier than it really is, and it's already a skinny scarf at only 16.5 inches. So this is not the type of scarf that you can fluff up around your neck and face in a hipster way. It lays very flat and thin around your neck. The crochet part is really transparent---it's a very open weave, which got caught on my rings in the first 5 minutes. I'm not sure I get the appeal of this scarf...in fact, it ends up looking a little bit dated and unfashionable to me. I think if it has been a bolder jewel tone, and the ends didn't taper in such a skinny way, it might have been easier for me to wear, but the skinny, tapered ends look frumpy on me. Sorry....but this is just an okay scarf to me, and it doesn't feel or look luxurious in the way that I had hoped.---Promotional sample provided for the purpose of candid and objective review.----I purchased this scarf to wear to a wedding with a bright yellow dress. You can see by the online picture that it is made out of two different fabrics; one area is crochet-like (with plastic rhinestone-type circles, so beware when ironing) and one area solid, scarf-like material. Each area is triangle-shaped. I supplied two pictures. One is to show how the scarf would look when worn as a shawl; I don't think was very successful in arranging it in that manner. Another is around my neck, similar to the online picture, which looks better. The material is very pretty and I do like the scarf; it just takes a bit of arranging if you want to see more of the crochet and less of the scarf-like material. the tag says it is made of 50% cotton and 50% polyester.Note: I received this item at reduced/no cost in exchange for an honest review. This has no impact on the review/rating I provide.I think the best way to describe the scarf is quirky! It is not a triangle, the net like part is not equal to the linen part either- nor are either part are really triangles. I also do not believe the scarf will hold up to any washing (other than an extremely delicate hand washing, but then you will have to iron since it will wrinkle due to wringing out). I have the taupe color and the sequins are clear as well. I did not purchase with the intent of having it forever or that it will be my go to scarf- if those are your intents then you will not be disappointed. I did try to take some pictures to show the scarfs appearance not being worn, it is just not a scarf that is symmetrical. I did receive a discount on the scarf in exchange for my honest review. This is a cute scarf from Tan.Half of the scarf is crochet with sequin sewn throughout and the other half is a thin soft cotton. Each side is an obtuse triangle shape and together measures about 17'' x 59''.Made of 50% polyester and 50% cotton.Recommend to hand wash as it would most likely be ruined in a washer. The cream color that I chose was a perfect addition to add to some of my outfits when I wear solid colors. The crochet part has almost a light peach color to it. This is lightweight, which is nice as the weather can get pretty humid here.If this review helps, please click on "yes". I rely on reviews to help me when I make my purchases as well, so I hope this helped someone! :)I'm not certain what caught my attention about this scarf; a crochet enthusiast and pattern writer, I usually skip right past crochet items thinking, "I can make that." From the look of luxe softness shining through the product photos to, I'll admit it, the word sequin, I quickly decided this scarf was more lovely than I'd be able to create in my hectic life for a time. I jumped at the chance to receive this scarf at first sight, no hesitation.Through the transparent plastic garment envelope protecting my new scarf, the gentle folds of cotton muslin and chiffon looked almost too pretty to bring out. Almost. The sticky flap pulled from the envelope easily and my world was suddenly focused on the lush drape and whisper weight of soft, feminine material pouring over my fingers and hands.Immediately those gorgeous folds were caressing my neck and shoulders and I was asking before I'd looked in a mirror if the scarf was "me". It sure felt like me. Unanimously agreed that it definitely was, I realized I had my newest favorite accessory. Natural tan coloring, it's the definition of "subtly feminine", a look that makes me feel more confie than anything boldly female ever could.Delicate webs form the lacey look of the scarf, crochet asymmetrically backed with cotton muslin so perfectly chosen to match the crochet they seem created for each other. The drape is just as light and all-season as advertised. Paired together, the pieces are too much fun to shape and arrange. Playing with folds, widths, the precise placement of each layer is an exercise in delighting the senses of touch and sight. And the gorgeous natural coloring makes it easy to mix and match with wardrobe outfits. The scarf I received was about an inch larger in each measurement than specified.A very high-quality accessory I will be finding reasons to wear for a long time to come, this scarf would make a touching gift - a soft, warm embrace. Or treat yourself to a touch of luxury. I promise you'll be preening in the mirror. Definitely a wardrobe essential.I ordered the collor yellow because i was planning to give it to a fruend for a gift.when i saw the scarf i was not very amazed of the color. This us for spring or fall.i got this product for free in exchange for an honest review.
